What you'll do

  • Support the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of gateway sites across the assigned region, including site surveys to assess technical, operational, regulatory, and infrastructure suitability.
  • Lead commercial and technical discussions with hosting partners, landowners, and infrastructure vendors, maintaining strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage regional RFP processes, including requirements development, bidder coordination, proposal evaluation, and support for contract negotiations.
  • Conduct vendor due diligence and support the qualification, shortlisting, and selection of hosting and infrastructure partners.
  • Manage zoning, planning, environmental, construction, and other permitting activities, representing the company in discussions with municipalities, regulators, and utilities.
  • Oversee gateway infrastructure implementation from contract award through completion and handover to the internal delivery team.
  • Coordinate project schedules, milestones, budgets, dependencies, risks, and deliverables across multiple sites and vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual, technical, quality, safety, and schedule requirements, including frequent site inspections to verify progress and workmanship.
  • Identify implementation risks and delays early, and lead the development of mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Provide regular, accurate project reporting to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain complete and properly organized project documentation, including permits, acceptance records, and handover packages.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent field required.
  • Preferred: advanced degree or professional licensure.
  • A minimum of 5–8 years of experience in project management related to infrastructure or industrial facilities.
  • Preferred: Background in infrastructure development, telecommunications, satellite communications, data centers, utilities, construction, or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects involving multiple vendors and stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Practical experience with site acquisition, site surveys, permitting, vendor selection, and construction or infrastructure implementation.
  • Preferred: Experience managing competitive procurement or RFP processes.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of project planning, risk management, contract administration, and vendor management.
  • Preferred: Ability to engage effectively with local authorities, utilities, property owners, engineering firms, and construction contractors.
  • Preferred: Strong commercial judgment, including the ability to assess vendor capability, financial strength, and delivery risk.
  • Preferred: Ability to work independently across different countries, cultures, and time zones.
  • Preferred: Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Preferred: additional regional languages are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
