What you'll do

  • Support and collaborate with Project Managers and Principals on a variety of capital planning projects.
  • Gain hands-on experience in a range of project phases while representing Sense Engineering with professionalism and dedication.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team spirit.
  • Take ownership of your work and focus on providing solutions.
  • Represent Sense Engineering professionally, building positive relationships with clients, contractors and other consultants.
  • Enhance your understanding of structural design and analysis, building science, life cycle analysis and costing while sharing insights and lessons learned with the team.
  • Perform site assessments and prepare technical reports, including Depreciation Reports, Warranty Reviews, and Building/Property Condition Assessments.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to support efficient and timely project delivery.
  • Represent Sense at client meetings and other networking functions with a commitment to exceptional service standards.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
  • Preferred: Previous co-op or internship experience in the engineering consulting field is considered a strong asset.
  • Registered with or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail coupled with a client-centric mindset.
  • Team player who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to creative thinking and approaching challenges from fresh perspectives, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required.
