What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and program partners, supporting communication and engagement with utility energy efficiency programs.
  • Assist with outreach, partner engagement, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Represent the utility and program at community events, outreach activities, and partner meetings by staffing information tables, engaging with the public, and providing program information and support.
  • Collect, review, and maintain program data, invoices, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track project activities, milestones, deliverables, and deadlines using database systems and project tracking tools.
  • Review partner activities and documentation to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Identify and escalate issues, recommend solutions, and communicate potential scheduling or project conflicts.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data, process, and documentation issues to ensure successful program execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of relevant work experience in customer service, energy efficiency or working with community-based organizations
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Results-driven and able to collaborate across all levels of an organization to deliver on commitments and meet objectives
  • Experience with various Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, OneNote and Teams) and Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to regularly travel throughout the state of Illinois
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment
  • Employment with Resource Innovations is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check; if applicable, a pre-employment drug screen may also be required
  • Preferred: Excellent verbal and written communications skills with clients, the public, and all levels of internal employees
