What you'll do

  • Manage a high volume of client service requests and administrative tasks while meeting established service level expectations
  • Coordinate and track Chapter 7 bankruptcy case activity, case administration tasks, and service deliverables from initiation through case closure
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for several trustees, attorneys, debtors, creditors, and clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Review bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, claims, court filings, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with Chapter 7 case administration, including asset review, claims administration, noticing requirements, distributions, reconciliations, and case closing activities
  • Analyze bankruptcy case information and provide administrative support for trustee and client engagements
  • Monitor court deadlines, meeting schedules, claims bar dates, distribution deadlines, and other case milestones to ensure compliance
  • Assist clients with professional services requirements and support the resolution of complex bankruptcy-related issues
  • Prepare and maintain accurate case records, reports, correspondence, and documentation in accordance with court and client requirements
  • Assist in preparing service estimates, pricing information, invoices, and billing-related documentation
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, project status, and completed work
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient case administration and adherence to established procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Generate reports, monitor workloads, and provide updates on service activity, case status, and productivity metrics
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that mitigate risks, enhance efficiency, improve service quality, and strengthen operational effectiveness
  • Participate in training, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities related to bankruptcy administration and professional services

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of Chapter 7 bankruptcy administration experience required
  • Strong knowledge of bankruptcy procedures, including court filings, claims administration and objections, asset administration, distributions, case closing, trustee operations, and bankruptcy case management workflows
  • Experience reviewing bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, court dockets, and filings
  • Experience supporting bankruptcy trustees, law firms, financial institutions, or bankruptcy service providers preferred
  • Familiarity with PACER, bankruptcy court procedures, claims management systems, and bankruptcy case management software
  • Experience with asset liquidation support, distribution and reconciliation processes, notices and certificates of service, and 341 meeting scheduling and administration
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with case management, ticketing, CRM, workflow, or related business systems preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
