What you'll do

  • Identify products or programs through the FedRAMP (Joint Authorization Board or Agency) authorization process
  • Public Sector Cloud: Identifying secure scalable solutions tailored for US Federal agencies or highly regulated sovereign entities.
  • Ensure product engineering solutions align to and meet NIST SP 800-53, FIPS requirements, and the FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) framework.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to transform customer requirements into innovative technical solutions that meet strict regulatory mandates without sacrificing platform performance or usability.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager Public Sector Compliance to define strategic roadmaps and support full product lifecycle.
  • Provide product architectural guidance for Vultr's public sector cloud product roadmap.
  • Public Sector Go-To-Market Strategy: Partnering with sales and marketing to support RFPs and Briefings with tailored value propositions for government customers.
  • Customer & Market Requirements Management: Prioritizing needs from government agencies and system integrators into actionable product requirement documents (PRDs).

What they require

  • 1 to 3 years of experience specifically managing products within the FedRAMP, GovRAMP, or IL4/IL5 ecosystem.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with cloud security architecture, zero-trust principles, and automated compliance tooling.
  • Communication: Ability to translate 'Gov-speak' and security requirements into clear technical specifications for developers.
  • Experience as a customer advocate for features that address government pain points such as IAM integrations for PIV/CAC cards or specialized storage for CJIS/ITAR data.
  • Experience that the product roadmap includes offline documentation, local API mirrors, and manual update mechanisms for sovereign cloud requirements.
