Product requirements specialist who can turn scoped ideas and customer requests into clear PRDs, mockups, and buildable development requirements. Expected in-person in Sherwood Park/Edmonton area; remote possible if outside the area.
BIS Safety Software is a SaaS company on a mission to change how organizations manage safety, learning, and compliance. As our product team grows, we need someone who can turn a growing stream of ideas and customer requests into clear requirements for development. We're looking for a Product Requirements Specialist with the judgment to know what belongs in scope, the precision to document it properly, and the follow-through to keep work moving. About the role: Product work at BIS runs through cases. A case holds the PRD, the scope, the mockups, and the tracking that carries a piece of work from definition through release. Your job is to take a case from roughly described to fully specified, then keep it moving across the finish line. That means writing the PRD with great care, working through mockups with our designers, catching edge cases before development starts, and tightening language until the intent is unambiguous. You'll also run frequent checks on the highest-priority cases in flight, so nothing sits stalled without anyone noticing. When something is blocked, you go straight to the person who can unblock it. You'll report to our Product Lead and work closely with our Product Managers, who bring the client context forward. This is the back half of product work: turning what's already been scoped into something buildable. Our preference is in-person at our Sherwood Park office, and that's the expectation if you're in the Edmonton area. If you're not from the area, this role can be remote.
