This Product Owner role ensures that foundation becomes stable, scalable and ready for the next wave of growth. As Product Owner within the OMRON Connect team, you take ownership of a key part of a globally used consumer health app. You are responsible for turning a legacy-heavy product area into a lean, stable and cost-efficient foundation. The role sits at the intersection of product, engineering and international stakeholders, with a strong focus on prioritisation, quality and clarity. You will be making hard trade-offs daily in a high-impact, high-scale environment. This role is central to how we improve the reliability and scalability of a product that directly influences hardware sales and long-term user engagement. Your work enables us to move faster in the future by first fixing the fundamentals. By bringing structure to complexity, you help reduce technical debt, increase delivery speed and improve product quality across the board. Your role You own a critical part of the OMRON Connect app and are responsible for making sure it delivers maximum user and business value with minimal complexity. You operate in a cross-functional, international team and act as the key decision-maker for what gets prioritised, built, improved or removed. We are working on multiple applications within Luscii/OMRON. In this case, you will be working on the OMRON Connect application - an app that helps people manage their (high) blood pressure and track overall health. It is designed to give people insights in their measurements and general health. The app works seamlessly with a range of OMRON devices, including blood pressure monitors, weight scales, thermometers, and EKG devices. Readings are automatically synced and stored securely, giving the user a clear view of their health over time. What you will be doing: Own and prioritise the backlog for your domain, ensuring focus on user value, business impact and strategic fit. Drive aggressive descoping to ensure the smallest valuable increments are delivered, while actively reducing technical debt and legacy complexity. Align a broad international stakeholder landscape and secure clear buy-in on priorities, trade-offs and scope decisions. Translate fragmented input from stakeholders and users into clear, actionable backlog items that guide engineering effectively. Own and communicate product vision and roadmap across strategic, tactical and operational levels. Track and interpret key KPIs (e.g. pairing success, measurement success, data quality, adoption) to continuously refine priorities. Long term, this role strengthens our ability to operate at global scale. By simplifying and stabilising a complex legacy landscape, you unlock capacity for innovation instead of maintenance. We are looking for somebody who is comfortable in taking ownership and making well-considered decisions independently. You enjoy the autonomy to shape your work and responsibilities, while actively seeking collaboration and alignment with others. You feel at ease being both a self-starter and a committed team player, contributing to shared goals while taking responsibility for your own domain. You value open communication, transparency, and mutual trust. 5+ years experience as Product Owner and/or Product Manager, ideally in a consumer-facing mobile app. Strong track record of prioritisation and descoping in complex (SaaS) environments. Excellent stakeholder management skills across international and senior stakeholders, combined with the confidence to say “no” whenever necessary. Ability to work closely with engineering teams and make trade-offs transparent and understandable. Sufficient technical understanding of mobile apps, APIs/SDKs and device connectivity (Bluetooth/BLE). Comfortable working in a regulated, legacy-heavy environment with ambiguity and complexity. You are open to working in a Holacratic organization and curious about our way of organizing work, roles, and responsibilities.
