What you'll do

  • Engage deeply with customers such as OEM engineering teams, simulation specialists, and program managers to understand workflows, frustrations, and unmet needs.
  • Translate customer insight, market signals, and technical feasibility into clear product requirements and prioritized roadmap decisions with Engineering and leadership.
  • Own product discovery by designing and running user research, synthesizing findings across customer segments, and developing hypotheses for the team to build, test, and iterate on.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Application Engineering, and Marketing to ensure product decisions are grounded in customer value and commercial viability.
  • Represent the voice of industrial engineers internally to keep the product technically credible, practically useful, and commercially sharp.
  • Track trends in engineering software, advanced simulation, and AI tooling to identify whitespace, emerging use cases, and competitive positioning opportunities.

What they require

  • 3+ years of real engineering experience inside a large industrial organization.
  • Experience working on multi-year programs, navigating complex systems, and working with real-world manufacturing or product development constraints.
  • Exposure to a modern environment such as a fast-moving hardware company, next-generation engineering software startup, or tech company embedded in industrial accounts.
  • Interest in what AI and software can unlock for engineering teams.
  • Genuine product instincts, curiosity about problems different from your own engineering experience, and ability to bring people along without formal authority.
  • Precise written and verbal communication.
  • Structured reasoning for prioritization decisions.
  • Degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Preferred: advanced degree such as MSc or PhD.
  • Fluent English.
  • Preferred: additional European languages.
  • Deep engineering experience at a legacy industrial company or a modern company like Tesla or SpaceX, plus strong product instincts.
