What you'll do

  • Define and prioritize projects that make payroll infrastructure more powerful and resilient as it scales.
  • Lead product execution with a bold, opinionated approach, pushing payroll solutions forward while addressing customer challenges urgently.
  • Engage with cross-functional experts from business, engineering, and payroll operations teams to align on strategic goals.
  • Connect directly with Check’s partners, software companies across diverse verticals, to understand daily challenges and identify opportunities for scaling their payroll businesses.
  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap with engineering and operations, outlining actionable strategies to build the infrastructure partners need to scale.
  • Lead discovery and definition of key components within Check’s system.
  • Dive deep into Check’s technology stack and learn payroll and tax systems.
  • Design scalable infrastructure for reliability and efficiency in payroll.
