What you'll do

  • Define and drive strategy for one or more parts of Figma's developer platform, including big bets, build-vs-buy calls, and sequencing.
  • Own strategy for the design-to-code platform: translating between designs in Figma’s SceneGraph and code in customers’ Makes and production codebases.
  • Own strategy for the external platform: how external AI agents access Figma context using MCP Server and REST APIs.
  • Own strategy for when and how Figma’s AI products appear in external surfaces such as Slack and Microsoft Teams.
  • Influence product roadmaps where platform capabilities create new product opportunities.
  • Partner with engineering managers and tech leads to make key architecture and UX decisions.
  • Talk frequently with product teams, customers, partners, and vendors, and distill learnings into platform commitments.
  • Raise the bar for technical PMs at Figma by pattern-matching across areas, surfacing cross-cutting problems, and pulling peers and engineering managers into key decisions.
