What you'll do

  • Advise the product team by answering questions and sharing knowledge so accounting features are built correctly.
  • Test the product and report issues and feedback to the product team.
  • Train external accounting firms and internal product, sales, and support hires on the product, especially accounting functionality.
  • Contribute to the product launch by ensuring key accounting features are compliant and efficient.
  • Document key knowledge about French-Spanish accounting and the Spanish product workflow.
  • Train the first accounting firms on Pennylane Spain.
  • Help recruit and train key Partner Success and Customer Success profiles.
  • Support product teams in designing and validating accounting and tax features through workshops, prototype reviews, and similar activities.
  • Translate accounting and tax needs into understandable product specifications.
  • Document product decisions in light of accounting and tax regulations.
  • Challenge proposed solutions from an accounting and tax perspective and arbitrate between different user feedback when needed.
  • Participate in defining accounting test scenarios.
  • Validate compliance of calculations, accounting entries, financial statements, and tax declarations.
  • Confirm the expected accounting result of a feature.
  • Create and maintain technical accounting and tax documentation.
  • Train internal teams on key accounting concepts.
  • Run knowledge-sharing sessions.

What they require

  • At least 3 years of experience in an accounting firm, advisory, or gestoría, including annual company closings.
  • Mastery of the full bookkeeping flow; expert-level book closing is not required.
  • Experience using A3 for accounting.
  • Preferred: background in accounting firms, advisory firms, or gestorías.
  • Preferred: high-level accounting perspective, including differences between firms, tools such as A3 vs Sage, and regional particularities.
  • Fluent English, not perfect but understandable.
  • Preferred: experience with modern tools such as Holded, Quipu, e-commerce tools, etc.
  • Preferred: tech-savvy profile with basic understanding of integrations, automations, and APIs, and use of modern tools such as Slack, GSuite, etc.
  • Preferred: knowledge of the Veri*Factu reform and Spanish tax laws and reforms.
  • Preferred: experience in a startup, digital company, or innovation team.
  • Preferred: experience in a remote environment.
  • Enjoy working in a constantly changing environment.
