What you'll do

  • Lead business development and relationship management with superannuation plans, sovereign wealth funds, and local institutional investors within the Australian/Oceanic markets.
  • Develop and execute a regional growth strategy targeting new LP relationships and deepening existing ones.
  • Serve as the primary interface with prospective clients, crafting and delivering presentations, proposals, and strategic insights.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across research, investment, operations, and client advisory teams to deliver seamless and insightful client experiences.
  • Stay abreast of evolving market trends, fund strategies, and client needs to position Aksia’s offerings competitively and credibly.

What they require

  • 6–12+ years of experience in investor relations, business development, or institutional sales with a focus on alternative investments.
  • Deep knowledge of and exposure to one or more alternative strategies: private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, or real estate.
  • Demonstrated success cultivating LP relationships across the Australian institutional investor space.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple complex client engagements and internal workstreams.
  • High degree of initiative, integrity, and commercial acumen.
  • Regional fluency and cultural awareness within the coverage area.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Effective writing and communication skills in English and a regional language is a plus.
