What you'll do

  • Serves as a senior subject matter expert (SME) supporting OHRP's compliance oversight mission and the protection of human subjects.
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations concerning compliance with 45 CFR 46, evaluate allegations of noncompliance, and review institutional submissions and corrective action plans.
  • Assess complaints, incident reports, unanticipated problems, and IRB records; develop evidence-based findings and recommendations for OHRP leadership.
  • Prepare detailed analyses, case summaries, briefing materials, and lead cross-functional compliance discussions.
  • Develop and maintain compliance review schedules, ensure adherence to QMS and corrective action plans, and oversee compliance documentation.

What they require

  • Master's degree in science or relevant fields.
  • 8+ years' relevant experience (additional education substitutes for experience).
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Education or experience in science, public health or research is required.
  • Demonstrated and substantial experience with Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and conducting compliance reviews, investigations, audits, evaluations, or regulatory assessments.
