Juniper, Our Weight Management Brand
Through Juniper, we provide a personalised, high-touch model of care that enables patients to access evidence-based, supportive and sustainable weight management. Our model promotes accessibility and accountability to patients who have traditionally struggled to achieve their goals in a stigmatised and poorly managed condition.
Incoming patients interface through an online questionnaire which collects key health information. Patients also undergo a model of high-touch care beyond the initial prescription with our team of health coaches, dieticians and regular Prescriber check-ins.
As a member of our in-house clinical team, you will be critical to this mission. You will be joining our small team of prescribers to achieve our goal of making healthcare accessible, convenient and safe.
About the role (What you'll be doing)
This role is central to the clinical excellence that underpins Juniper's patient outcomes. You'll deliver high-quality, personalised prescribing care to Spanish-speaking patients as we scale into new markets, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Through our bespoke telehealth platform, conduct asynchronous text-based consultations with patients in Spanish, to assess and prescribe weight-loss medications
- Provide outstanding medical advice to patients, which creates lasting impressions because of its depth and personalisation
- Demonstrate knowledge and awareness relevant to the areas we prescribe (primarily GLP-1/GIP agonist medications)
- Adhere to our practice standards, quality and safety procedures and policies, and complete all required training
- Triage medical enquiries efficiently to ensure excellent patient safety and care is received
- Respond to medical incidents promptly as escalated, via phone or asynchronous messaging
- Be a critical point of contact for our Eucalyptus-partnered clinicians and work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to assist in building processes and systems that get better over time
- Assist in the creation of medical knowledge centres that empower our broader team to provide deeper and more personalised patient experiences
About you (Who you are)
Skills and mindset:
- Qualified as a licensed medical doctor (MD); current registration with a Colegio Oficial de Médicos in Spain (colegiado number required)
- Native or fluent Spanish speaker, with strong written and spoken English
- Based in Ireland
- A high level of empathy and a passion for delivering an exceptional patient experience
- Organised, independent and able to work well in a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Skilled at using technology to deliver care and communicate with patients, especially in written formats
- Open to working weekends
- Experience in online prescribing
- Open to working either part-time or full-time roles
