What you'll do

  • Perform and direct power system studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim modelling environments.
  • Manage the enquiry, application, registration, and/or design phases for large energy user and renewable energy projects, including HV grid connections, substation design, and generating plant power systems.
  • Undertake site inspections, provide technical advice, and prepare engineering reports.
  • Develop cost-effective engineering solutions that meet project and technical requirements.
  • Review designs to ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, statutory requirements, and client specifications.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical engineering industry.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim in RMS and EMT modelling environments.
  • Familiarity with engineering codes, regulations, industry best practices, and performance standards.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills with the ability to develop cost-effective engineering solutions.
