What you'll do

  • Screen and analyze greenfield site opportunities across target US ISO/RTO markets using ArcGIS Online, federal/county portals, and AI optimization frameworks.
  • Assess regional grid capacity, transmission constraints, and market dynamics to formulate scalable market entry strategies for power and data center infrastructure.
  • Review federal and county-level zoning, land use, and permitting requirements to validate project feasibility and mitigate development risk.
  • Support the development of wind, solar, BESS, thermal and load projects from strategy through construction start.
  • Manage day-to-day project budgets, schedules, and development tools to keep projects on track.
  • Prepare clear, actionable updates and materials for senior leadership and investment committees.
  • Develop, refine, and own financial and valuation models in Excel and Google Sheets to evaluate project economics and interconnection cost profiles.
  • Perform accounting reconciliations across multi-departmental budgets.
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities across development activities, framing tradeoffs for stakeholders.
  • Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Permitting to integrate technical constraints and market signals into cohesive project strategies.
  • Drive projects from initial concept through construction, positioning Intersect assets for long-run value creation.
  • Support negotiations and relationships with utilities, land agents, and counsel.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Resources, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in clean energy development, power origination, or utility-scale energy infrastructure planning.
  • Proven expertise building and maintaining financial or project models in Excel and Google Sheets, with an interest in applying AI optimization tools to workflow efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience navigating ISO/RTO interconnection processes, accounting reconciliation, and spatial tools like ArcGIS Online alongside federal/county regulatory databases.
  • A strategic, analytical approach to problem-solving, with high adaptability in fast-moving, emerging energy markets.
