  • Trace, reproduce, fix, or hand engineering a clean reproduction of hard problems.
  • Work across APIs and integrations, customer-side JavaScript, agent behavior, and data.
  • Debug agents and prompts.
  • Diagnose whether a wrong answer or misfire comes from prompt, knowledge base, configuration, or model behavior.
  • Fix prompts or setup so they hold under real traffic.
  • Create runbooks or tools so the team can handle similar issues next time.
  • Build system improvements that catch recurring issues before they repeat.
  • Close the loop to Product with structured, metrics-backed customer issue signals.
  • Surface recurring patterns rather than one-off issues.

  • Excited to build automation and thinks in leverage.
  • Fluent with AI agents and prompts.
  • Has built or debugged LLM workflows.

  • Reads and reasons through code.
  • Comfortable in the core stack: Node.js, TypeScript, React, Express, or close enough to ramp fast.
  • Can trace customer-side JavaScript in the browser.
  • Can write diagnostic SQL against PostgreSQL.
  • Can navigate a backend service independently.
  • Uses AI coding tools such as Claude Code or equivalent to script queries, clean datasets, or navigate a new codebase fast.

  • Owns problems nobody assigned them.
  • Has worked where process did not exist yet, found something broken, and driven it to a fix.
