Obesity medicine physician or endocrinologist for remote telemedicine care, 40 hours/week. Must have MD/DO, board certification, ABOM diplomate or Endocrinology board certification, licenses in AR, IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, ND, OK, SD, or WI, and IMLC Letter of Qualification. Telemedicine experience required; medical Spanish is highly preferred.

What you'll do

  • Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting, focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management.
  • The physician will have their own panel and will collaborate with Registered Dietitians.
  • In the future, this physician role will be responsible for chart reviews and conduct return visits for APP patients every third visit to ensure quality and continuity of care.
  • Provide treatment planning and medical management support for complex cases or escalated concerns.
  • Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications for patients under direct care.
  • Ensure clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways are followed consistently within the team.
  • Assist in the professional development of APPs by fostering clinical growth, offering feedback, and supporting continuing education.
  • This role could include APP collaboration and supervision responsibilities.
  • Participate in team-based care initiatives and contribute to a culture of collaboration and high-quality care.
  • Attend relevant departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine program.
  • Participate in a rotating after hours call schedule with Form Health clinical leadership.

What they require

  • MD or DO degree with board certification; must be an American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) diplomate or board certified in Endocrinology.
  • Are licensed to practice and prescribe legally in AR, IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, ND, OK, SD, or WI.
  • Must hold an LOQ (Letter of Qualification) with the IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact).
  • Are or have in the past credentialed with insurance payers.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
  • Are committed to the highest quality of medical care and an evidence-based approach to obesity management.
  • Have prior experience conducting telemedicine visits and who have a great "web-side" manner.
  • Have prior experience working collaboratively with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitians.
  • Preferred: strong preference for multiple state licenses.
  • Preferred: Bilingual candidates with medical fluency in Spanish are highly preferred.
