What you'll do

  • Conduct comprehensive medical record reviews and provide objective, evidence-based opinions on cases involving musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain conditions, rehabilitation services, functional impairment, and treatment planning.
  • Evaluate medical records, prepare concise clinical summaries, and provide independent medical opinions in response to specific questions posed by our clients.
  • Reviews may include assessments of medical necessity, appropriateness of care, causation, impairment, functional capacity, rehabilitation needs, treatment recommendations, and return-to-work considerations.
  • Reviewing medical records and supporting documentation
  • Conducting evidence-based clinical assessments
  • Preparing clear, comprehensive written reports
  • Participating in peer-to-peer discussions when necessary
  • Answering client-specific questions regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, rehabilitation services, and functional outcomes
  • Applying current clinical guidelines and standards of care to all reviews

What they require

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Current, unrestricted Michigan medical license
  • Active clinical practice or recent experience in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-residency clinical experience
  • Experience evaluating musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, pain management, and functional impairment cases preferred
  • Ability to attend required orientation and training sessions
  • Maintain all applicable licensure, certifications, credentialing, and professional requirements necessary to perform reviewer services
