What you'll do

  • Meet and exceed established sales quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis through consistent effort and strategic planning
  • Execute targeted sales activities including cold calls, in-person appointments, and prospect presentations to close new business and expand your client base
  • Develop and maintain a robust book of business, ensuring high renewal rates and long-term client satisfaction through proactive relationship management
  • Leverage industry-leading sales and marketing tools to identify prospects, track opportunities, and execute results-oriented campaigns
  • Collaborate effectively with Client Service teams to analyze renewal business, identify cross-sell opportunities, and seamlessly place new accounts
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in personal insurance products, staying current with industry trends and best practices
  • Mentor and support less experienced Producers, sharing sales methodologies and guiding them through the production cycle
  • Maintain detailed records and analytics to monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and optimize sales strategies
  • Follow established sales methodologies and best practices, utilizing company tools and sales management platforms
  • Developing new sales opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and providing risk management solutions tailored to clients of all sizes.
  • While we have processes in place to help generate new business opportunities, building/generating a strong pipeline of potential clients through proactive prospecting, networking, and marketing efforts is also required.
  • Present customized insurance solutions to meet clients' specific needs including but not limited to homeowners, auto, umbrella, earthquake, and personal articles floaters.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their personal and family insurance needs.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to keep clients informed on market trends, emerging risks, and changes in regulations that may affect their insurance needs.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports on sales performance and account activities.

What they require

  • Valid state-issued Property and Casualty or Life and Health Insurance Producer License
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, or a related field of study
  • Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in an insurance sales role, with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Proficiency with professional software programs including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities to juggle multiple clients and priorities effectively
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Knowledge of personal insurance products including auto, homeowners, umbrella, and related coverage types
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Assertive yet empathetic approach to sales with genuine interest in understanding client needs and providing solutions
  • Valid Property and Casualty License in the state in which you're applying for
  • Experience in personal lines sales and/or service
  • Outgoing and energetic personality where you enjoy going out and finding leads on your own.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and effectively prioritizing risks to manage concurrent workflow.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must have a strong understanding of homeowners and personal auto coverage.
