People Operations Specialist

People Operations creates the foundation that allows teams to do their best work. As INDG and Grip continue to grow, consistent and reliable people processes become increasingly important. Every onboarding, payroll run, contract update, and employee interaction contributes to the overall employee experience . In this role, you collaborate with and support a portfolio of employees and people leaders, ensuring high-quality People Operations across the full employee lifecycle. You ensure that all core HR processes run smoothly, accurately, and on time, while supporting employees and managers with day-to-day HR matters. You operate in an international and fast-paced environment, where attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to prioritize are key. Alongside your operational responsibilities, you actively contribute to improving processes and enhancing the overall employee experience. What You Will Do People Operations (60%) Own and execute core HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, performance cycles, benefits, learning & development, and off-boarding. Coordinate and support monthly payroll across multiple countries, working closely with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in HRIS (HiBob) and other systems, ensuring proper documentation and compliance. Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal policies across different regions. Handle urgent or sensitive people-related matters with care, accuracy, and good judgment. Effectively prioritise a high-volume and changing workload in a fast-paced environment. People Support (20%) Act as a first point of contact for employees, supporting them with questions related to contracts, payroll, benefits, policies, and other HR matters. Support managers with day-to-day HR topics and employee cases, ensuring consistent application of policies and processes. Build strong working relationships with employees and managers across different teams and locations. Provide clear and professional communication in sensitive or complex situations. People Projects & Process Improvements (20%) Support and contribute to improving, automating, and streamlining HR processes, with a focus on scalability and efficiency. Contribute to and take ownership of parts of people-related projects and process improvements. Support initiatives aimed at improving the employee experience and effectiveness of the people team. Use data and insights to support improvements and inform decision-making. Who You Are You're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy bringing structure to a dynamic environment. You take ownership of your work, value accuracy, and understand that great People Operations are built on trust, consistency, and continuous improvement. You Have: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Administration, or a similar operational HR role. Experience working with HR systems (HRIS) and supporting payroll processes. A solid understanding of (Dutch) employment law and HR best practices. You Think: Accuracy and attention to detail matter. Taking ownership means identifying issues and acting without constant direction. Processes should continuously improve as organizations grow. Employee experience is shaped by consistent and reliable people operations. Collaboration and clear communication are essential when working across different teams and stakeholders. Working comfortably in a dynamic, international environment with different stakeholders. Adapting your communication style to different audiences, including employees, managers, and external parties.
