What you'll do

  • Own and shape the strategy behind Ramp's immigration program
  • Manage U.S., UK, and Canadian visa cases across the full lifecycle
  • Serve as Ramp's internal immigration expert
  • Advise recruiters on visa eligibility and sponsorship options
  • Expand immigration support to new countries as Ramp grows
  • Design and manage employee relocation processes
  • Manage end-to-end international relocation cases
  • Advise People Partners, recruiters, and business leaders on mobility questions
  • Make complex immigration and mobility requirements clear for employees
  • Coordinate across Legal, Finance, Payroll, HRBPs, business teams, and immigration counsel to support employment in new countries
  • Own compliance for countries where Ramp operates, including cross-border remote work, business travel, and international employment classification
  • Build playbooks for payroll, employment law, immigration, and cultural considerations when entering new markets
  • Establish and adapt international business travel guidelines

What they require

  • 5-7+ years of experience across a subset of People Operations, global mobility, immigration, and compliance in a global context
  • Strong vendor management skills with immigration counsel and relocation partners
  • Experience building processes from scratch at a scaling company
  • High autonomy and ownership
  • Genuine kindness and compassion for employees navigating high-stakes processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills, including translating complex situations into plain language
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfort with ambiguity and bias toward action balanced with sound judgment on compliance risk
