What you'll do

  • Track timesheet submissions and process payroll each cycle in coordination with Finance; ensure submissions are accurate and on time.
  • Maintain employee records in Rippling; process status changes, leave tracking, benefits enrollments, and off-cycle adjustments
  • Answer employee questions about payroll and benefits; escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain state employment tax relationships: help process registrations, tax account maintenance, and agency correspondence across all states where Soluna employs
  • Serve as the go-to Rippling resource: handle day-to-day system questions, help employees use self-service features, and recommend system usage enhancements
  • Support recruiting activity across all active roles: scheduling interviews, managing candidate communications, and maintaining ATS (Rippling) data integrity
  • Prepare interview materials, scorecards, and debrief logistics; keep the process moving efficiently for candidates and interviewers alike
  • Track pipeline metrics and surface bottlenecks to the CPO
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding: collect documentation, draft offer letters, run background checks, and work with IT on equipment and systems access.
  • Coordinate offboarding: departure paperwork, systems removal, equipment return, and final pay coordination.
  • Be a first point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and HR processes; know when to resolve and when to escalate.
  • Partner with Marketing to represent Soluna at career fairs, university events, and community hiring initiatives; build relationships that strengthen our local recruiting pipeline
  • Support relationships with regional colleges, workforce development organizations, and community partners
  • Assist in the planning and execution of company offsites, all-hands events, and team gatherings: assist with venue sourcing, travel coordination, logistics, and on-site execution
  • Handle travel arrangements and logistics for candidates and new hires relocating to or visiting Soluna sites
  • Maintain the People Operations master calendar: track new hire start dates, onboarding milestones, offboarding timelines, benefits open enrollment windows, annual compliance training, performance review cycles and 30-60-90 check-ins
  • Flag upcoming milestones to the CPO and relevant stakeholders in advance

  • Customer Service sensibilities, with problem solving support skills

  • Comfort working across a small, fast-moving team where priorities shift and initiative is rewarded
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Soluna Data Center sites across the state of Texas
