Entry-level payment services role for candidates with ~2+ years banking/credit-union experience. Remote (Georgia) with flexible hybrid in-office requirement. Daily work on ACH, inclearing, remote deposit channels, incoming wires, reconciliations and disputes.

What you'll do

  • Handling general inquires via phone/voicemail, email and Skype
  • Support frontline and Security department with research and resolution
  • Review/processing of errors and exceptions for Inclearing and ACH transactions
  • Make pay and no pay decisions
  • Review and handle returns
  • Reconcile processing totals
  • Manage stop payment processes
  • Prepare affidavits for lost/stolen Cashiers’ Checks
  • Process adjustments and disputes
  • Assist the Accounting Department with reconcilement
  • Post incoming wires received
  • Complete reconcilement, adjustments and disputes
  • Assess transactional fees as outlined by the credit union’s Truth in Savings Fee Schedule
  • Provide data for management reports on a one-off or ongoing basis
  • Comply with departmental/credit union policies and procedures with specific focus on OFAC and Reg CC
  • Review check images submitted through remote channels and approve deposits within credit union guidelines; place holds and facilitate returns on submitted items as necessary
  • Complete special projects and any other duties assigned by management
  • Participate in the department’s business continuity and disaster recovery plan as assigned

What they require

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of similar or related experience with credit union/banking
  • Must be able to work amicably with credit union members and staff
  • Able to contribute to the greater whole in a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various projects in given time frame
  • All positions that have lending responsibilities must comply with SAFE ACT requirements and maintain current NMLA registration; employee must notify the Credit Union within 30 days of any changes for NMLS registry
