The role of the Case Manager is to help guide admission criteria for ED patients. Schedule of Tele-Coverage Service 7am - 3pm and 3pm - 11pm CST 7 days/week coverage between team members Flexible scheduling with RN CM group Daily Job Responsibilities: Guide ED admission decisions using MCG or interqual as needed based on insurance criteria. Review observation patients on the medical floor to determine whether they meet inpatient criteria. Be available in the ER for any further questions. Work with local hospitalist + Tele UM if needed. AM Case Mgmt --> daily review of obs patients + ER as requested. PM Case Mgmt --> review any new admits + ER as requested.
