Part-time paid internship for a currently enrolled or recently graduated MLS/MLIS, Law or Juris Doctor student interested in legal research and information services. 15 hrs/week, remote, 15–17 weeks, requires permanent US work authorization.

What you'll do

  • Conduct legal research, background factual investigations, and technology research in support of attorney requests, internal projects, and client service initiatives
  • Evaluate proprietary, government, and openly accessible information sources for alignment with existing Client collections and research projects
  • Draft research and content guides that support the discovery of information relevant to the Client's practice teams and department staff
  • Curate and edit current awareness tools and email newsletters
  • Participate in remote meetings with team and other Client staff and attorneys
  • Utilize Microsoft enterprise technology effectively to support and enhance current Client department workflows

What they require

  • Pursuing a degree in MLS/MLIS, Law or Juris Doctor
  • Be a part of a Law Librarianship program
  • Interest in learning about the field of legal research and information services
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be a currently enrolled or recently graduated student from an MLS/MLIS, Law or Juris Doctor program
  • Able to complete a 17-week internship starting on the 2nd of September
  • Expected to work 15 hours/week between the hours of 9 am and 7 pm
  • Have permanent US work authorization
