Title: Hiring Part-Time Embedded Avionics Software Engineer (Night Shift | Remote)
We're looking for an experienced Embedded Avionics Software Engineer to join us on a remote, part-time, night-shift basis.
Required Skills:
Expert-level C/C++ (embedded, deterministic coding)
RTOS experience (VxWorks or INTEGRITY preferred; QNX/RTEMS acceptable)
DO-178B/C software lifecycle and certification
MISRA C and secure coding standards
ARINC 429 and/or MIL-STD-1553
ARM or PowerPC architecture
JTAG debugging (Lauterbach/Segger), oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing
Static analysis tools (LDRA, Polyspace, Coverity)
Git and basic CI/CD for embedded development
Domain Knowledge:
Real-time systems (task scheduling, determinism, WCET)
Requirements-based testing and traceability (DOORS or similar)
Flight control systems (sensors, actuators, control loops)
AI/ML Experience (Preferred):
TensorFlow Lite Micro or similar embedded inference framework
Kalman filters and sensor fusion

What you'll do
- Develop and maintain embedded avionics software using C/C++ and RTOS.
- Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and debug with JTAG, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Implement and follow DO-178B/C lifecycle processes and requirements-based testing/traceability (DOORS or similar).
- Apply static-analysis tools (LDRA, Polyspace, Coverity) and MISRA C / secure coding standards.
- Work on flight control systems (sensors, actuators, control loops) and related real-time/deterministic concerns.
