Assist Team Manager to provide leadership, oversight, direction, training, and support to subordinates. The Assistant Team Manager will work cooperatively with all team members in furtherance of the company goals. The Team Manager will delegate work as needed to the Assistant Team Manager, so regular responsibilities may shift and re-focus depending on current need. An Assistant Team Manager is required to have a thorough understanding of the PPO insurance landscape across the country. The training schedule requires the ATM to work 7:30-4:00 or 8:00-4:30 Mountain/AZ.

What you'll do

  • Provide oversight, direction, and support to subordinates in accordance with company workflows, process, policies, and guidelines and as directed by executive management.
  • Complete thorough account reviews and Basecamp/Google audits for quality control.
  • Identify where additional training or focus is needed.
  • Monitor changes to PPO statuses and keep all resources updated.
  • Contribute to Trainual and ensure workflows and instructions are current and accurate.
  • Train and mentor employees.
  • Assist with creation and continuing development of training modules/ programs and training resources (ie Trainual, Zoho, Workflows).
  • Assist TM to evaluate individual team member performance and progress and provide feedback.
  • Assist with performance reviews, corrective measures and disciplinary issues.
  • Address client complaints to de-escalate or remedy their concerns.
  • Identify ways team members can be more efficient, increase capacity, and provide consistently excellent customer service.
  • Assist in implementing operational changes (workflow, process, software, etc.)
  • Employee recognition, team building activities, and employee retention.
  • Foster cooperation and teamwork among all employees and unity among departments.
  • Manage overflow accounts.
  • Perform other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What they require

  • ONLY INTERNAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED - current employment with Unitas PPO Solutions is required.
  • Extensive Account Manager experience working with dental providers/dental practices and thorough understanding of PPO insurance participation and reimbursements is required.
  • Ability to work remotely during business hours.
  • Reliable, accountable, and trustworthy.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
  • Excellent computer skills; working knowledge of Google for business applications, Zoho, Basecamp, Trainual, and other platforms used.
  • Smart, motivated and consistently professional.
  • Evidence of leadership ability and ability to perform at a high level.
  • Ability to to prioritize, meet deadlines, and self-manage and perform under stressful circumstances.
  • Ability and desire to train, coach, mentor, encourage and support others.

  • Business knowledge and experience required.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred but not required.
