What you'll do
- Design and build solutions for AI agents to implement.
- Review agent-generated configuration and code for quality, correctness, and maintainability.
- Coordinate work across systems to keep AWeber's core operational platform reliable, secure, and fast.
- Provision infrastructure.
- Tune monitoring and alerting.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Coordinate with adjacent teams.
- Lean on established patterns.
- Take ownership of small-to-medium projects.
- Define infrastructure as code in Terraform.
- Review an agent's proposed Kubernetes change before it ships.
- Wire up new alerts in Grafana.
- Generate documentation usable by both humans and AI agents.
- Work releases through GitHub and the deployment pipeline.
What they require
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent work experience, plus 2+ years in a platform engineering or systems/operations role.
- Working knowledge of AI development tools and coding assistants, with comfort using them in day-to-day implementation work.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills — you fix root causes, not just symptoms — paired with the communication skills to translate technical issues for different audiences.
- Experience in a 24x7 on-call rotation, including incident response, mitigation, and root cause analysis.
- Experience troubleshooting across Linux and Mac-based environments.
- Experience using Git or Mercurial for version control.
- Experience with containerized, cloud-based infrastructure — Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation on AWS, GCP, or similar.
- Comfort with shell scripting and Python.
- Experience configuring monitoring and alerting with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty, or Sentry.
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including DNS, VPN, load balancing, and subnetting.
- Solid grasp of security concepts, including firewalls, secrets management, IAM, and PKI, with practical experience applying them.
- Detail-oriented and genuinely curious.
- Can manage context switches and competing priorities without losing quality.

- Have a growth mindset and learn from experience, including working with AI.
- Self-motivated to adopt AI-assisted development practices.
