We are seeking a dedicated and experienced oncology registered nurse. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive cancer care remotely, providing support, education, and clinical interventions to our members. You will be instrumental in designing our oncology clinic and improving outcomes for those we serve.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a first and main point of contact for cancer patients and their caregivers, conducting comprehensive clinical and needs assessments to identify and address patient concerns.
  • Collaborate as a core member of the multidisciplinary care team, including oncologists, primary care providers, survivorship providers, genetic counselors, care advocates, and other support team members, to provide high quality care and fill gaps in patient care.
  • Provide compassionate, empathetic care, establishing close, trust-based relationships with patients and going above and beyond to support the patient and their family.
  • Engage with patients to address their clinical needs or issues, such as symptom management, care engagements, nutritional support, provider referrals, and planning for in-person care appointments via phone, async messaging, and video communication.
  • Collaborate with Care Advocates to address non-clinical support and care needs.
  • Help develop clinical protocols and best practices in close collaboration with other Color Care Team members.
  • Participate in care team sessions to monitor member progress, provide updates, and collaborate on targeted support plans.
  • Maintain thorough and detailed documentation of patient encounters.

What they require

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Unrestricted active Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
  • Active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multi-state license required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in oncology healthcare settings.
  • Outpatient experience required; inpatient experience a plus.
  • Oncology-related certifications required (e.g., OCN, AOCN, AOCNS, or CCM).
  • Relentless drive to removing barriers and defrangmenting the current healthcare system for your patients.
  • High bar for experience and quality of care.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on empathy and active listening.
  • Medical proficiency in both English and Spanish preferred.
