What you'll do

  • Configure, deploy, and battle-test cutting-edge platform features from Alpha through Early Availability.
  • Bring real-world customer deployment perspective into Okta’s own tenant.
  • Act as the lead hands-on architect configuring and deploying Alpha platform capabilities within Okta’s corporate IAM tenant.
  • Serve as the bridge to core platform product teams, providing practitioner-level feedback that shapes final platform design.
  • Lead the hands-on architecture and configuration of how the Okta Platform governs non-human, autonomous AI workloads across O4AA.
  • Define secure authentication, token exchange, and authorization patterns for AI agents and agentic identity security.
  • Build internal technical deployment blueprints for how Okta DBSSO and Chrome DBSC complement one another.
  • Leverage Okta Identity Engine to create layered defenses protecting corporate endpoints from token and cookie exfiltration.
  • Act as a technical peer and trusted advisor to hands-on practitioners at customer organizations.
  • Share real-world tenant deployment experiences, trade-offs, and lessons learned with engineers building and securing Okta platforms.
  • Contribute to technical content such as deep-dive how-to videos, internal podcasts, or practitioner roundtables.
  • Share deployment architectures, tenant configurations, and technical playbooks.

What they require

  • Extensive practical experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Okta in complex enterprise production environments.
  • Active hands-on mastery of the Okta Identity Engine, Directory Integrations, Advanced Policies, Workflows, and Okta Platform APIs.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, especially Token Exchange, SAML, mTLS, JWT, and Model Context Protocol.
  • Strong technical understanding of modern identity threat vectors including AiTM phishing, info-stealer malware, and session hijacking.
  • Ability to serve as an equal technical peer to product management and product engineering on feasibility, platform architecture paths, and real-world system behaviors.
  • Exceptional ability to connect with and speak the language of hands-on platform engineers and security administrators.
  • Ability to translate highly complex platform configurations into clear peer-to-peer technical explanations in documentation, video walkthroughs, or collaborative technical workshops.
  • Preferred: Okta Certified Administrator or Okta Certified Consultant, or equivalent proven hands-on engineering experience.
