Occupational Therapist (per diem) providing home health visits in multiple California cities. Requires an active California Occupational Therapy license and minimum 2 years clinical OT experience. Rate: $130 per visit; must have valid driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle to travel to patient homes.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and home environments to identify needs and safety concerns
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and communicate them to physicians and the care team
  • Teach and retrain patients in daily living skills and recommend/instruct on adaptive equipment, splints, and prosthetic/orthotic devices
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, promptly report changes in patient condition, and coordinate with the broader care team
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, oversee home health aide care when OT is the sole skilled service, and support discharge planning

What they require

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association; Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Active California Occupational Therapy license
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical OT experience
  • Current CPR certification with AHA
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable insured vehicle, and the ability to travel to patient homes; strong communication and organizational skills
