What you'll do

  • Own the live technical execution of enterprise network deployments.
  • Partner directly with field technicians in real time to troubleshoot deployment issues.
  • Build systems and tools that make installations effortless.
  • Bring customer networks successfully online.
  • Act as the technical escalation point for live deployment networking issues.
  • Resolve most live deployment networking issues independently to reduce escalations to Deployment Engineering.
  • Keep installations on schedule.
  • Partner with field technicians to unblock issues in real time.
  • Ensure customer networks are successfully brought online.
  • Reduce rework rates and ensure compliance with installation artifacts and validation checks.
  • Partner with Operations Engineering to roll out automated technician tooling that reduces install validation time.
  • Act as the technical lead on live install threads.
  • Run pre-install prep calls with technicians.
  • Decide what gets resolved on the call versus escalated to Wired or Wireless Deployment Engineering.
  • Own shift handoff so context is preserved.
  • Troubleshoot mid-install issues including ISP circuit turn-up, VLAN mismatches, port configuration, DHCP reservations, inter-VLAN routing, IPSec tunnel failures, HA firewall failover, and DAC cable issues.
  • Own final technical sign-off before a customer network goes live.
  • Clear the Dashboard Issues page.
  • Confirm hardware including firewalls, switches, APs, and PDUs is online and on the current NOS.
  • Validate ISP quality and HA failover.
  • Execute VLAN auto-config.
  • Sign off in the deployment thread.
  • Document progress across active deployments.
  • Push updates to technical project managers and stakeholders.
  • Proactively surface blockers before they slip.
  • Identify recurring failure patterns.
  • Partner with Operations Engineering to ship new playbooks, tooling, or product fixes.
  • Translate technician insights into hardware and software improvements.
  • Design automated validation tools that remove manual install steps.
  • Lead rollout of new technician onboarding programs.
  • Shape product improvements that change how installations are done.
