Position Summary: The Network Deployment Engineer’s primary responsibility is to provide effective network and administrative services for Red River’s growing customer base. The Deployment Engineer will provide front-line Engineering services for customers and assist our Professional Services Operations team during installations at customer sites as well as supporting additional national projects. Additionally, the Deployment Engineer will work closely with existing technical staff to support Red River’s Managed Services customers. The right candidate is comfortable running projects independently as well as working with the larger engineering team and project managers. For the right individual, this position has significant growth potential. Primary Position Tasks: Listing of the primary tasks the position will be responsible for: Support, troubleshoot, install, and configure routers, and switches and firewalls Deploy & troubleshoot security protocols across the network platform Develop and refine network and security configuration documentation for customers Maintain industry certifications as required Provide end user training on solutions Assist in developing, improving, and automating our delivery methodologies Other business duties as assigned Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements: Knowledge and Skills: 2+ Years working in Information Technology delivery or support Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent experience Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. Familiarity with network security fundamentals (segmentation, access control, firewall concepts, wireless lan) Exposure to network automation concepts such as: API, scripting. Manufacturer Knowledge and Certifications: HPE Network Campus Access Associate Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional JNICA-Junos / JNCIA-Mist Comp TIA Network + Meraki CMNA Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used): Required to lift 20# boxes overhead, required to sit for periods of 2 -3 hours at a time. Required to use a ladder This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
