What you'll do

  • Develop successful value-added sales using solution based and consultative sales techniques within assigned sales territory to increase sales in all Sika Target Markets
  • Call on Owners, Architects, Consultants, Engineers, Design-Build firms, Contractors, and other influencers/opinion leaders in the territory
  • Learn main Sika product lines (Liquid Applied Membranes, Sealing/Bonding, Refurbishment, Roofing, Flooring, Building Finishing, Concrete and Waterproofing) to support solution-based sales
  • Identify and position products and solutions to create sales opportunities
  • Make sales calls to uncover construction projects in the earliest stages and build a strong pipeline of major projects
  • Achieve specifications and work to ensure Sika products are approved and specified prior to project bidding
  • Communicate with local Sika sales colleagues across Target Markets to maximize sales opportunities on major projects and key accounts
  • Organize Sika’s added-value sales efforts for strategic projects and accounts, including major seminars/symposiums and Sika hosted events
  • Perform local value-added sales efforts using Salesforce.com as the main communication tool
  • Up to 20% domestic and international travel required to client sites nationwide

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Management, or a related field (or foreign equivalent)
  • 3 years of related experience required
  • Experience must include one (1) year of Technical Sales in the Building Construction industry
