Job Summary: We are seeking a professional and reliable Mortgage Credit Analyst to join our team! You will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of loan applicants, ensuring compliance with lending regulations, and working with real estate agents to ensure a successful and timely close. Key Responsibilities: Assess each borrower’s financial statements and credit data to determine their creditworthiness. Prepare paperwork for clients actively applying for a mortgage loan and help them pull together all the necessary documents and credit information to submit a complete and viable loan application to lenders. Review mortgage disclosures to make sure all federal and state lending regulations are followed. Work with real estate agents to make sure they understand what is required for clients to successfully apply for a mortgage loan. Maintain current and accurate records for each client throughout the lending process and ensure sensitive information is handled with the utmost care. Present progress reports and updated financial data to the mortgage team to ensure a successful close. Requirements: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the mortgage or financial services industry, specifically in credit analysis or underwriting. Proficiency in mortgage software and financial analysis tools Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis. Familiarity with credit reporting systems and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers and identify potential risks. Ability to interpret complex financial statements, credit reports, and other financial data. Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and clients simultaneously. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial assessments and documentation.
