What you'll do

  • Develop detailed test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Validate Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Power BI reports, Dataverse solutions, Power Pages, and Power Pages, and Copilot Studio implementations.
  • Document, track, prioritize, and verify software defects through resolution using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Validate solution performance, accessibility, security, and compliance with CBP and Microsoft best practices.
  • Participate in solution design reviews to ensure testability and quality requirements are incorporated early in development.
  • Support production readiness reviews, deployment validation, and post-implementation verification.
  • Verify data migration, data consolidation, and system integration activities.
  • Test certificate maintenance, licensing updates, mobile integrations, health monitoring capabilities, and system enhancements.
  • Assist with validation of automation initiatives that improve business processes using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
  • Develop end-user documentation, training materials, user guides, and testing documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, solution architects, business analysts, and government stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Recommend improvements to quality assurance methodologies, testing processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of software quality assurance or application testing experience.
  • Experience developing: Test Plans Test Cases Test Scripts Test Reports Defect Documentation
  • Experience performing: Functional Testing Regression Testing Integration Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) System Testing
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or comparable defect tracking tools.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience testing Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • Experience with: Power Apps Power Automate Power BI Dataverse Power Pages Copilot Studio
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience validating data migrations and system integrations.
  • Experience supporting federal government customers, preferably DHS or CBP.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) or related Microsoft certification.
  • ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent certification.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and testing best practices.
  • Ability to interpret business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Experience validating low-code/no-code business applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
