What you'll do

  • Teach and mentor students in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
  • Interact with students and manage course activities using the Blackboard platform.
  • Verify accuracy of student postings/submissions and provide feedback and grades through Blackboard within required timeframes.
  • Publish availability to students (e.g., online office hours) and be in the classroom a minimum of 4 days per week; respond to student questions within 48 hours.
  • Attend domestic residencies/Pre-practica to teach intensives, colloquia and facilitate discussions; supervise field training experiences.

What they require

  • Earned doctorate in Counseling or Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a mental health professional.
  • Preferred: Minimum of three years of experience teaching and mentoring Master’s and/or Doctoral level students, including directing thesis/dissertation research.
  • Ability to provide leadership and mentoring for students in the research process and support in program assessment.
  • Ability to participate in residencies/pre-practica, national faculty meetings and other work-related travel.
