What you'll do

  • Build and own WLT’s global membership marketing strategy, designing multi-channel campaigns (email, social, partnerships) to drive new member recruitment and reduce churn.
  • Create and optimize lead nurture sequences, continuously A/B testing messaging, timing, and offers to improve conversion rates.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key KPIs (conversion, open, and renewal rates) to refine strategy and personalize outreach at each stage of the member lifecycle.
  • Oversee the full membership lifecycle: from application review and onboarding to continuous engagement and successful renewals.
  • Lead high-impact recruitment campaigns and maintain a proactive retention calendar that anticipates renewal windows to trigger re-engagement sequences.
  • Write engaging monthly member letters and partner updates to keep the community connected and reminded of WLT’s ongoing value.
  • Develop WLT’s messaging framework, writing compelling recruitment and retention copy across emails, landing pages, and reports that demonstrate ROI.
  • Manage the Member Ambassador Program and regional meetups, handling venue logistics and integrating event marketing into the broader acquisition strategy.
  • Build and maintain CRM dashboards that give leadership a real-time view of pipeline health and retention risk, while partnering seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment.

What they require

  • 3–5 years of experience in membership, community management, marketing, or client success—ideally within media, associations, or the events space.
  • A proven track record of building and executing marketing campaigns that drive measurable acquisition and retention outcomes.
  • Strong copywriting skills, allowing you to write a compelling outreach email, a crisp value proposition, and a high-converting subject line with equal ease.
  • Technical proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot proficient), marketing automation, membership platforms, and designing email nurture sequences or conversion funnels.
  • Data fluency, with the comfort to pull reports, interpret emerging trends, and translate metrics into actionable next steps.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, empowering you to flawlessly manage multiple outreach cycles, regional events, and campaign workstreams simultaneously.
  • A self-starter mindset, highly capable of thriving in a collaborative, asynchronous remote environment while taking hands-on ownership of high-visibility programs.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to grow within a respected and innovative media company.
  • Exposure to the intersection of media, events, and travel intelligence.
  • Collaborative, supportive, and remote-friendly work environment.
