Remote customer-service role for roadside assistance handling high-volume inbound calls. Must be Canadian-eligible (pass Canadian criminal record check), have stable home office, smartphone for 2FA, and flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays. Training is mandatory (full-time remote, Mon–Fri 8:00–16:00) starting 2026-08-31.

What you'll do

  • Report to the Supervisor, Member Rescue.
  • Act as one of the first points of contact for members calling for roadside assistance.
  • Respond to high volume inbound calls for roadside assistance.
  • Record member information thoroughly and correctly.
  • Accurately identify call locations and assign calls accordingly.
  • Use geographical skills to process road service requests accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify support required for priority calls.
  • Stay informed about AMA products, services, and Roadside Assistance systems.
  • Educate and inform members about membership coverage and costs.
  • Work a variety of shifts and be able to sit for extended periods.

What they require

  • High school diploma.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call centre environment.
  • Clear communication and excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Comfortable learning and using computer applications and systems.
  • Private and secure dedicated home office space with stable high-speed internet and free of distractions.
  • Smartphone (Apple or Android) for two-factor authentication.
  • Able to pass a Canadian Criminal Record Check.
  • Open availability allowing a minimum of 16 hours per week; preference for daily 10-hour availability starting between 6:00am-9:00am and at least 4 days per week.
  • Available for one Saturday or Sunday shift per week (or alternating weekends as described).
  • Available to attend all training classes, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm for up to 4 weeks.
  • Available for onsite equipment pickup.
