What you'll do

  • Function as the primary point of contact within the assigned geographic area.
  • Maintain clinical and scientific expertise in oncology and immunotherapy with focus on CCA and HCC.
  • Engage in compliant, peer-to-peer scientific exchange with KOLs around client’s pipeline.
  • Maintain understanding of clinical protocols, clinical trial outcomes and related procedures.
  • Develop and track KOL engagement plans and maintain long-term collaborative relationships.
  • Engage in medical & scientific exchange including advisory boards.
  • Manage territory planning, development, and engagement activities.
  • Manage all clinical program requests and respond to unsolicited requests for information.
  • Collaborate with R&D to support sites and investigators in company-sponsored clinical trials.
  • Conduct pre-launch KOL profiling efforts.
  • Facilitate top account/institution profiling to understand patient care pathways and treatment protocol development.
  • Work collaboratively and compliantly with commercial colleagues to represent product strategic imperatives.
  • Provide feedback and insights from KOL interactions to internal teams.
  • Represent client at medical meetings and provide scientific booth coverage.
  • Attend congresses and develop internal congress reports.
  • Adhere to corporate SOPs and relevant legal/regulatory guidelines for scientific interactions.
  • Provide medical support, clinical input, and training for internal teams as requested.

What they require

  • An advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, or NP/PA) is required.
  • MSL: minimum 2 years previous MSL experience with ≥1 year in rare disease, oncology and/or immunology with knowledge of targeted therapies.
  • Sr. MSL: minimum 5 years of pharma experience and 3 years of rare disease, oncology and/or immunology experience.
  • Prior product launch experience required.
  • Ability to interpret and present scientific data to engage KOLs.
  • Working knowledge of standards of care for HCC and CCA is desirable.
  • Ability to present complex scientific and evidence-based data to payors and/or formulary committees is required.
  • Working knowledge of NCI Cooperative Groups and Oncology Research Consortiums.
  • Working knowledge of institutions and clinics in selected geographies is expected.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently (70%) with overnight stays.
