Full-time remote contractor role for Philippines-based hires; hours 8:30 AM–5:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Monday–Friday. Requires strong English, patient-facing healthcare experience, HIPAA knowledge; pay $5–$6 per hour.

What you'll do

  • Answer incoming patient calls and serve as the first point of contact, providing warm, empathetic, professional, and patient-centered service.
  • Collect necessary patient information for new patient intake and assist with onboarding; schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Manage patient-facing communications (phone via Google Voice, email) including confirmations, follow-ups, and documenting inquiries.
  • Receive symptom-related calls or medical concerns, accurately document them, and escalate clinical questions/symptoms to the provider rather than providing medical advice.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, assist with EHR documentation once implemented, create superbills when within capability, and handle administrative tasks while maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA).

What they require

  • Must speak and write English clearly and professionally.
  • Relevant patient-facing healthcare experience (Medical Patient Coordinator, Medical Receptionist, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Coordinator, Medical Virtual Assistant, or similar).
  • Understanding of HIPAA principles and ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially.
  • Able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory).
  • Reliable laptop/desktop and stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps); working webcam and noise-canceling headset for virtual meetings.
