What you'll do

  • Grade assignments and assess academic integrity of student work.
  • Participate in online discussions and respond to student emails within 48 hours.
  • Interact with students using the Canvas learning platform and other university technology.
  • Be present in the classroom a minimum of 4 days per week and provide regular, predictable availability (online office hours or chats).
  • Complete required training for online teaching and may be assigned a faculty peer mentor during the first term.

What they require

  • Must work currently as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and have current clinical NP practice.
  • All NP faculty are required to obtain and maintain RN and APRN licensure in the state of Minnesota and must provide evidence of current Advanced Practice certification prior to hire.
  • Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Earned degree from an accredited institution; Earned Doctorate (DNP or PhD) preferred.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience of teaching in higher education; minimum 2 years' experience as an FNP in primary care preferred.
