Manager for External Communications & Marketing to drive audience growth, engagement, retention and revenue by increasing visibility and authority. Responsible for turning content, data, reports and events into high-impact thought leadership and distributing it across external channels (media, partners, platforms, events).

What you'll do

  • Create and lead thought leadership campaigns from content, reports, and data with defined distribution and amplification plans.
  • Position people, content, and programming externally by securing speaking opportunities, media placements, and partner events and preparing spokespeople.
  • Drive external reach and audience growth via media placements, partnerships, social strategy, and paid/sponsored distribution to convert audiences into subscribers.
  • Connect external visibility to engagement, retention, and revenue by tying external activity to subscriber growth, attendance and revenue opportunities.
  • Measure performance across campaigns, placements and channels; track media, partners, social, paid distribution, backlinks and search impact and optimise for growth.

  • Understands how ideas spread beyond owned channels and how to place content, people, and insights into environments reaching senior decision-makers.
  • Able to turn content, data, and reports into clear narratives and thought leadership others want to share, publish, and discuss.
  • Thinks in terms of distribution, visibility, engagement, growth and retention with focus on influencing senior leaders.
  • Relationship-driven with experience building and maintaining connections with media, partners and platforms.
  • Both strategic and hands-on: can shape narratives and execute placements, campaigns and partnerships.
