Senior BC-licensed breast radiologist with 10+ years in radiology and 5+ years in breast imaging, for a remote locum interpreting diagnostic mammography (2D/3D) and breast ultrasound, 1–2 days per week on a 90/10 fee split. Must hold BC registration and CMPA cover; can reside elsewhere in Canada.

What you'll do

  • Provide specialized expertise in the detection and diagnosis of breast diseases
  • Supervise and interpret a wide range of breast imaging studies, including diagnostic mammography (2D and 3D/tomosynthesis) and breast ultrasound
  • Deliver timely and accurate diagnostic reports with clear communication of findings to referring physicians and patients
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director, medical imaging technologists, and ultrasound technologists to optimize imaging protocols
  • Actively support quality assurance programs, peer review, and accreditation processes (CAR MAP and DAP requirements)
  • Provide expert guidance to technologists on breast imaging protocols, best practices, and quality/safety standards
  • Maintain current knowledge of advancements in breast imaging technology and Canadian clinical guidelines
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at patient care, workflow efficiency, and clinical outcomes

What they require

  • Seasoned radiologist with 10 years' experience and five years of breast imaging experience
  • Radiologist licensed in British Columbia with a valid Certificate of Registration with the College
  • Medical liability insurance coverage through the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Comfortable using EMR, PACS and radiology information systems (RIS), and workplace technology
  • Thrives in an interdisciplinary team-based environment and is an excellent problem solver
