What you'll do

  • Provides Independent Engineering advisory support for technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities.
  • Deliver bankable, technically defensible Independent Engineering advisory services and lender-ready due diligence, monitoring, certification, and decision-support outputs.
  • Review project documentation and evaluate technical and commercial interfaces.
  • Identify risks and mitigations and evaluate technical, construction, operational, and project delivery risks.
  • Validate assumptions and support Conditions Precedent (CP) and disbursement readiness reviews where applicable.
  • Prepare defensible work products including independent engineer reports, draw certifications, technical risk summaries, CP validation, and completion certification.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders.
  • Perform data room reviews, borrower/contractor interviews, site observations, and monthly monitoring meetings.
  • Track information requests, update risk registers, check draw packages, and track issue closure.
  • Translate discipline-specific engineering, construction, compliance, operating, commercial, and risk findings into lender-ready outputs for financing decisions.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience; demonstrated work on oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
  • PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or discipline-specific credentials preferred where applicable.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical due diligence, credit evaluation, and lifecycle monitoring services to inform financing decisions and protect lender interests.
  • Ability to produce defensible, traceable documentation suitable for lender review.
  • Technical judgment, independence and objectivity, analytical rigor, and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word); proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and clearly present findings for credit, construction, monitoring, and certification decisions.
  • Willingness/ability to work remotely across the United States and attend on-site meetings at project sites nationwide.
  • Ability to obtain and hold necessary security clearance is a valuable asset.
