What you'll do

  • Own evaluation standards – rubrics, golden examples, and human-review/escalation criteria for AI-generated work products.
  • Translate legal reasoning, workflows, and procedural requirements into structured AI-enabled systems.
  • Design decision trees, escalation frameworks, workflow logic, and prompt architectures for family law workflows.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and operational teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Help structure and maintain institutional legal knowledge repositories, workflow playbooks, and operational guidance systems.
  • Develop retrieval, prompt orchestration, and workflow execution systems.
  • Assist in building AI-powered intake systems, document automation workflows, and client communication systems.
  • Partner with product managers, developers, and AI engineers on implementation and testing.
  • Help define quality assurance, human-review, and escalation standards for AI-generated work product.
  • Monitor AI outputs for consistency, quality, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in testing, iteration, and optimization of AI-assisted legal workflows.
  • Help document legal workflows, system logic, and governance procedures.
  • Stay informed regarding emerging AI technologies, legal technology trends, and evolving regulatory considerations impacting AI in legal services.

What they require

  • Juris Doctor (JD), paralegal certification, legal operations experience, or equivalent practical legal workflow experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, workflow design, legal process engineering, product operations, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of legal workflows, procedural systems, and operational process design.
  • Exceptional analytical and systems-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into structured workflows and operational logic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Comfortable working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm regarding AI, automation, and the future of legal services.
  • Preferred: Experience in family law or other high-volume consumer-facing legal practice areas.
  • Preferred: Experience working with software development teams or product organizations.
  • Preferred: Understanding of legal ethics, confidentiality obligations, and AI governance considerations.
  • Preferred: Background in legal innovation, legal operations, or AI-assisted workflow design preferred.
