What you'll do

  • Advise on a broad range of commercial matters and serve as legal partner to Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Security, and Product on deal structure, contract negotiations, risk, and compliance
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and interpret technology and commercial contracts including SaaS agreements, partner/reseller agreements, NDAs, evaluation agreements, and vendor contracts
  • Identify and resolve legal and regulatory risks related to IP, licensing, data use, privacy, and compliance in commercial contracts
  • Prepare, maintain, and improve template agreements, playbooks, and operational guidance to accelerate sales and legal processes
  • Use AI tools as part of contract workflow to accelerate drafting, redlining, and review and advise on automation opportunities

What they require

  • JD from an accredited law school and active Bar membership in good standing
  • 4-8 years of post-JD experience independently negotiating SaaS, technology, licensing, partner, and vendor agreements
  • Working knowledge of consumer data privacy laws relevant to commercial contracting (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GLBA, FCRA)
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., contract drafting, redlining, or review assistants) as part of your daily workflow
  • Preferred: law firm, data use/licensing, and fintech experience; Preferred: experience with public sector (SLED and/or Federal) sales contracting
