What you'll do

  • Provide counsel on employment law issues including grievances, dismissals, employment contracts and benefits
  • Advise People and Culture team, local management and business leaders on employee relations, risk management and workplace issues
  • Advise and manage obligations regarding works councils, employee representatives and union representation
  • Manage employment litigation and disputes alongside the People and Culture team
  • Provide regulatory and compliance advice on conduct, remuneration matters and regulatory inquiries
  • Monitor and communicate regional employment law and regulatory developments
  • Support cross-border employment law projects including policy harmonisation, workforce changes and compliance initiatives
  • Advise on legal risk in a practical and commercially balanced way

What they require

  • Law degree with admission to practice in at least Spain
  • Extensive experience as a qualified employment lawyer in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal department of a multinational organization
  • Proven success advising on complex Spanish employment law is essential
  • Hands-on experience with consultation and negotiation processes involving works councils, employee representatives and union representation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Ability to think analytically and pragmatically and provide proactive advice
  • Excellent relationship management skills with stakeholders and external advisors
  • Comfortable in fast-paced scale-up environments
  • Team player with a humble attitude
  • Experience working with AI technologies to increase efficiency
  • Comfortable working across time zones
  • Knowledge of employment law in other jurisdictions, particularly EMEA, is nice to have
  • Experience working in high-growth technology companies is nice to have
  • Fluency in other European languages is nice to have
