What you'll do

  • Designs and implements solutions to resolve client-generated challenges.
  • Assesses / audits existing product ecosystems and recommends optimization strategies based on client objectives, past experience, and industry best practice.
  • Designs relevant and multi-faceted architecture / documentation to support recommended approaches.
  • Creates comprehensive roadmaps governing near- and long-term actions for solution design, deployment, and enhancement.
  • Integrates modern architecture practices including hybrid cloud design, automation, Zero Trust principles, and secure-by-design methodologies.
  • Leads development of architecture standards, patterns, and governance frameworks across cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Provides consulting and pre-sales support to strategic prospects and accounts.
  • Articulates the Unisys value proposition and architects’ custom solutions as needed.
  • Offers thought-leadership to business-oriented, technical, and other audiences.
  • Leads RFP/RFI solutioning, client workshops, and competitive positioning efforts.
  • Contributes to solution project estimation, scope definition, resource allocation, and timeline development.
  • Recommend management and governance policies using client constraints.
  • Supports TCO/ROI modeling, cost optimization strategies, and financial alignment of architectural decisions.
  • Designs solutions that achieve financial goals as well as meet or exceed the requirements of service delivery.
  • Ensures proposed solutions position Unisys competitively while remaining technically feasible and aligned with business objectives.
  • Partners with delivery teams to ensure architectures are executable, support operational stability, and align with ITSM best practices.

  • BA/BS degree and 6–8 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and architect enterprise-level technical solutions.
  • Strong consulting, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required.
  • Demonstrated experience in design patterns, architecture best practices, cost optimizations, delivering purpose-built solutions.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge across a wide range of services and solutions.
  • Expert in emerging solutions, roadmap, and the business applications of technology.

  • Infrastructure as Code & Automation — Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment patterns.
  • Zero Trust & Security Architecture — IAM, PKI, segmentation, encryption, and secure design aligned to federal requirements.
  • Federal Compliance & Regulatory Alignment — NIST 800‑53, FedRAMP, FISMA, CJIS, DISA STIGs.
  • Enterprise Integration & Modernization — API design, event-driven architecture, legacy modernization.
  • Architecture Governance Leadership — Standards, patterns, guardrails, and architecture review processes.
  • Pre-Sales & Strategic Solutioning — RFP/RFI leadership, client workshops, competitive differentiation.
  • Financial Modeling & Cost Optimization — TCO/ROI analysis, cloud cost governance.
  • ITSM & Operational Excellence — ITIL practices, service reliability engineering, operational alignment.
  • Executive-Level Communication — Ability to simplify complex architectures for senior audiences.
  • Professional Certifications — Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CISSP, ITIL, TOGAF.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Leadership — Leading teams across Windows, Linux, Cloud, Security, NOC, and application domains.
  • Thought Leadership — Whitepapers, conference presentations, industry advisory contributions.
